  2. DISKSALV 2 COVER DISK LICENSE/REGISTRATION (V11.32)

  4. DiskSalv may be distributed on magazine cover disks without prior 
  5. approval under certain restrictions.  If your distribution does not
  6. meet these terms, please contact me, we can probably negotiate
  7. something.

  9. These requirements include:

  11. [1] Please have an authorized representative of the magazine complete
  12.     and return this form.  By doing so, the magazine is signing a 
  13.     letter of agreement to abide by the DiskSalv cover disk license.
  14.  
  15. [2] Please send me a copy of the magazine issue that includes the 
  16.     DiskSalv distribution, when it is published.
  17.  
  18. [3] The magazine must abide by the following rules.  Basically, most
  19.     cover disks are not an attempt by a magazine to re-sell Shareware
  20.     or other freely redistributable software at a big profit, but 
  21.     rather to deliver such software in a manner similar to that of
  22.     the disk libraries.  Some magazines even maintain disk libraries
  23.     similar in spirit to the Fred Fish's Freely Redistributable 
  24.     Software Library.  Toward this end, I offer this nearly-free 
  25.     license to any magazine with such a cover disk to include DiskSalv 
  26.     as long as it meets restrictions similar to that of a freeware 
  27.     library disk distribution:

  29.     o The disk itself, exclusive of the magazine, must cost no
  30.       more than $5.00, and it must be offered independently of
  31.       the magazine, at least within six months of the bundled
  32.       magazine/disk release.
  33.  
  34.     o The full DiskSalv distribution must be included.  This can
  35.       be in archive, expanded, or hybrid format.
  36.  
  37.     o No new restrictions may be placed on the DiskSalv 
  38.       distribution as provided on the disk.  However, the disk
  39.       itself does not have to be freely redistributable, it may
  40.       contain restricted software, as long as this software
  41.       is properly licensed.  It may not contain illegally 
  42.       distributed software.

  44.     o The magazine must mention DiskSalv, and it must include the
  45.       full Copyright and Shareware information on DiskSalv.
